NeoConsult enters strategic partnership with China UniCom System Integration Corporation

As part of our long-term strategy, NeoConsult has entered into strategic partnership with China UniCom's main supplier of IT solutions.

CEO of NeoConsult Rune Bundesen explains: “Owing to our long track record in the telecommunications industry and our extensive know-how around professional and innovative 3G turn key deliveries, we have formed this partnership aiming at enabling China UniCom to embrace 3G and to move solutions and services to the Chinese market. The first phase of the partnership is a pilot project, where we deliver 3G value-added services, hosted on our extremely scalable VASP platform.”

The pilot project aims at localizing and joint developing a versatile product offer dedicated to match the preferences of the Chinese audience.

The demand for 3G services in China is very strong. Three major telecommunication companies have been granted a 3G license, one being China UniCom.

The official launch date for 3G is 17th of May 2009.
